GallopNYC Announces New Executive Director
New York, NY–Oct. 11, 2022 – GallopNYC, a therapeutic horseback riding program for New Yorkers with disabilities and special needs, is pleased to announce the selection of Marcos Stafne, Ph.D. as its new executive director. Stafne will transition into the role currently held by departing Executive Director James Wilson on October 31.

GallopNYC Appoints Three New Board Members | Leading Horse-Therapy Center Prepares for Increased Program Demand as COVID-Restrictions Ease
GallopNYC, New York City’s premier therapeutic riding program, announced today the appointment of three new Board of Directors members. The new appointees bring the total number of GallopNYC Board members to 15, many of whom have been with the organization since its founding in 2005.

As soon as you get to the barn, GallopNYC starts their magic. They say “hi.” What you may think of as an everyday interaction, but to some, it’s a little nerve-wracking to have someone acknowledge your presence and have to respond back. The lesson begins at the barn door.

GallopNYC Gets New Yorkers with Disabilities Back in the Saddle
Beyond the white picket fence that runs along a busy stretch of South Conduit Avenue, there is a barnful of horses nestled between the busy highway and a residential street. The horses are owned and cared for by a nonprofit organization, GallopNYC, which provides therapeutic riding to New Yorkers with disabilities.
